Description
Beautiful Western Grey Kangaroo Doe and Joey at Lake Leschenaultia, Augusta, Western Australia. Female Kangaroos have a variety of names: Doe, Flyer, Jill or Sheila. They can have three babies on the go at different stages of development. Kangaroos are Marsupials, which means that their young develop in an external pouch. Kangaroos are also macropods, which means their pouches face forwards. Joey's leave their mother once they are weaned at about 12 months.
