Description
A beautiful black swan. Until these were discovered in 1697 the Black Swan was a cultural metaphor for an impossibility, as they were only known to be white. Once they were discovered they became symbolic of an occurrence previously deemed impossible, that was proven possible. A kind of fallible logic. I find this very interesting as the Black Swan is also Western Australia's State Emblem.
